YESCO, the 100-year-old company known for creating, repairing, and maintaining internationally recognizable signs, announces the fabrication and installation of new signs for Arizona State University (ASU) West in Glendale, Arizona.
The ASU West signage installation took place on the southeast corner of 51st Avenue and Thunderbird Road and the southwest corner of 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road. ASU contributed design elements to the new signs, while YESCO fabricated new and updated cabinets to be incorporated into the old signs’ existing brick work. They also worked with Watchfire to integrate the new, much higher-resolution 6mm LED digital screens.
FUN FACTS:
- It took YESCO 414 man-hours to complete the sign project.
- The original ASU sign was installed in May 1992.
- This project incorporates YESCO’s largest outdoor 6mm sign.
“YESCO was proud to fabricate and install these new signs at Arizona State University West,” said Kelly Chipman, senior account manager at YESCO. “Installing a 6mm LED digital screen of this large size is rare, and the enhanced sign makes an eye-catching addition to ASU West’s campus.”
