North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA has launched the new SYLVANIA BackLED Plus, BackLED B 12Vdc, BoxLED, and BoxLED Plus 24Vdc LED modules, energy saving replacements for neon and fluorescent technologies in channel letter, box sign, halo letter, and other outdoor and indoor signage applications. The BoxLED Plus DS LED modules are the first double-sided chains of linear white LED modules for signage applications from OSRAM SYLVANA. BackLED and BoxLED products, as well as other innovative lighting technologies from OSRAM SYLVANIA, will be shown at Booth #1001 at LIGHTFAIR® International 2013, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference.

BackLED Plus and BackLED B
The new SYLVANIA BackLED LED modules are single-board cuttable chains of LEDs with flexible connection cables. They are available in a variety of light levels and form factors to accommodate a wide range of signage applications, including channel letters, halo letters, box and pylon signs. Easy to install, the BackLED modules ensure specified performance as they require no external heat-sinking The BackLED Plus features a Flat-Ray optimized elliptical optical lens to ensure uniform light distribution at the sign face. The BackLED B is designed for deeper channel letters and features a tighter beam angle. All BackLED modules deliver optimal performance when paired with OSRAM OPTOTRONIC® 12Vdc LED power supplies.
BoxLED Plus and BoxLED Plus DS
With both single-sided and double-sided modules available, the new BoxLED Plus product line is ideal for lighting any size box or pylon sign. Featuring the Flat-Ray optimized elliptical optical lens, the BoxLED LEDs are an energy-efficient source of bright, uniform illumination for outdoor and indoor box and pylon signs. Illuminating both sides of a double-sided box has never been easier than with the BoxLED Plus DS modules. These energy-efficient products deliver the same amount of light out of both sides of the module, providing even, double-sided illumination from a single module. Compatible with OSRAM OPTOTRONIC® 24Vdc LED power supplies, the SYLVANIA BoxLED products are fast and easy to install with the available mounting tracks and accessories and are single-board cuttable.
With an IP66 rating, the new SYLVANIA BackLED and BoxLED LED modules are ideal for outdoor use and can be easily cleaned with high-pressure water jets. The BackLED and BoxLED are available in a variety of color temperatures including 3000K, 4000K, and 6500K. BackLED and BoxLED modules are covered by a five-year system warranty when paired with OSRAM OPTOTRONIC LED power supplies.
