Canadian large-format print company Creative Silhouettes recently produced a high-contrast set of exterior wall graphics for a local client using Drytac Polar Grip white polymeric self-adhesive vinyl.
Creative Silhouettes partnered with real estate investment and management company Barney River to visually transform the wall of its building. Because the outdoor application would be subject to the elements and extreme cold of Ontario’s harsh winters, the print shop needed a durable material that would retain its original look.
The print company selected the self-adhesive PVC film, which offers up to seven-year durability when used with a matching laminate. Thanks to its high bond adhesive, the film can be used to permanently apply graphics to any surface, including metal, plastic, wood, glass and even brick.
Canadian distributor ND Graphics supplied the Polar Grip film, while Creative Silhouettes printed all graphics in house using the company’s HP Latex R1000 printer. In total, the wall mural, which was installed in February, measured 18 feet high by 45 feet long.
“The installation was painless with three installers completing the job in just one day,” Creative Silhouettes Chief Executive Officer Giovani Pereira says. “Our customer absolutely loved the finished piece.”
