Tens of thousands of printing and graphics professionals will gather at the Las Vegas Convention Center for PRINTING United Expo. Held September 10-12, the three-day trade show and educational conference will offer new programming, host demonstrations and showcase 800-plus exhibitors of the latest advancements in printing technology.
Beyond that, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in Women in Print Alliance sessions and events, interactive show floor experiences, co-located segment-specific forums, PRINTING United AFTER DARK networking parties at various nightlife venues, and more.
The 2024 show will debut the Knowledge Center, where Sign Builder Illustrated and other expo media and association partners will distribute magazines and educational materials. Come meet the SBI team at booth C4318 in the Central Hall. Readers are also invited to join us for a special Happy Hour in the space on Wednesday, September 11 from 4 to 5 p.m.
“Another exciting feature is the chance to see live and in-person installer demonstrations as well as talk to the experts and learn more about how to become PDAA certified…” PRINTING United Expo President Mark J. Subers told SBI earlier this summer.
When asked about what he views as growing sectors and what types of innovations he expects to find on tap this year, Subers said: “While a lot of the ‘bread-and-butter’ markets sign and graphics companies produce, like signs, banners and vehicle graphics, are still profitable, those are also pretty competitive.”
“Among wide-format companies, there has been a lot of interest and growth in textile printing, particularly for soft signage applications and silicone-edge graphics (SEG). It’s a great growth area,” Subers added. “Also, there has been a lot of growth in décor applications, including wallcoverings, whether decorative or informational. I expect we will, again, see a lot of those applications on display this year.”
PRINTING United Alliance recently released six guides helping print professionals explore adjacent revenue streams. Each Opportunity Pocket Guide provides segment opportunity, market size, types of products, key markets, entry criteria, best practices and exhibitors to visit at the show. The guide for the Graphics/Sign sector can be accessed here.
