Graphco is proud to announce the launch of a major enhancement to the Augusta F150R Pro CNC Routing & Cutting Table manufactured by SD-Italy. The newly integrated Automatic Stud Welding (ASW) Technology revolutionizes efficiency and precision in architectural sign manufacturing, façade fabrication, and many other applications that require precision welding of mounting studs and other hardware.

This brief video shows the Augusta F150R Pro processing a 3-part sign to help viewers see for themselves how efficiently the ASW technology operates:

Adding the mounting studs during the machining process takes the already impressive Augusta F150R Pro powerhouse to a completely different level of high-volume production. ASW technology represents a dramatic leap forward for the Augusta F150R Pro, combining SD-Italy’s world-class engineering with a streamlined, and fully automated solution that improves productivity, reduces manual labor, and achieves faster turnaround times on projects. The Augusta F150R Pro is already known for its exceptional cutting and routing capabilities across a wide range of materials, including PVC, wood, metal, acrylics, foam and composite materials of all kinds. With the ASW feature, Graphco customers can now benefit from an automated, low-contact stud welding process that guarantees superior weld accuracy and consistency on every component.

“Graphco has always focused on delivering innovative solutions that empower our customers to reach new levels of efficiency and quality in their production,” says Chris Manley, President of Graphco. “The ASW feature on the Augusta F150R Pro CNC Cutting and Routing Table delivers exactly that. This latest development from SD-Italy is going to be a game-changer for our clients who require both precise routing and secure stud welding in one seamless operation.  Also keep in mind that our real-world feed rates on aluminum and other difficult to machine materials is 3-4-5 times faster than our competition.  We’re excited to see the impact the ASW will have across the industry.  With several installations already underway the ASW Technology will begin making its impact immediately in the architectural sign segment.”

The ASW feature is designed with ease-of-use and maximum productivity in mind. Thanks to its automated setup and control system, operators can now achieve flawless welds without the need for manual intervention, allowing them to focus on other critical tasks within their workflows. The ASW’s low-contact design ensures that materials remain unaffected by heat transfer, further enhancing product durability and overall aesthetic quality.  In hammer tests, the ASW welds achieve much better adhesion rates than any other process available, so a better weld is achieved with less labor and much higher precision.

The ASW system is easily adaptable to a variety of custom applications and can process industry standard studs in widths from 2mm all the way up to 10mm, and in lengths from 6-50mm, giving users unmatched flexibility in creating products that stand out in terms of strength, durability, and design.  “We can even weld on female mounting hardware with an optional kit, and the great thing about the ASW is that whether your design calls for aluminum or ferrous metal back plates our technology comes ready to run for either material.”
