The tallest residential building in Milwaukee, known as The Couture Milwaukee, recently added a 101-foot-long 10 mm EMPIRE™ Exterior LED video platform from SNA Displays. Used primarily for digital-out-of-home (DOOH), the display is mounted under a walkway leading to the luxury apartment building that overlooks Lake Michigan and the Summerfest grounds in the historic Third Ward of East Milwaukee. Operated by out-of-home specialist Pearl Media, the curved screen faces Michigan Street in the city’s new transit hub.
The 101’4” long by 12’7” tall LED display wraps the corner of a parking garage and includes a short return for longer read times and increased visibility to the east. The video screen features both front and rear accessibility and a resolution of 384 x 3,088 pixels. The DOOH platform also processes 1.2 million pixels across its 1,280 square-foot digital canvas.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better location in Milwaukee to showcase our outdoor LED technology,” said Pete Simon, director of OOH sales for SNA Displays. “In addition to being an amenity-rich residential building that redefines the city’s skyline, The Couture is adjacent to a major commuter hub, so the number of daily impressions makes this a highly desirable out-of-home platform.”
Lemberg Electric provided LED installation services, winning a Wisconsin Sign Association award for their work on the project.
