BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, has introduced the BL3200PT—the world’s first thirty-two-inch-wide quad high-definition (WQHD) monitor designed specifically for 3D printing, computer-aided design (CAD), and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM). Building on the success of the highly popular BL2710PT, the larger BL3200PT features a 2560×1440 WQHD resolution, BenQ’s performance-enhancing RevolutionEyes™ technology, and Display Pilot software with Auto-Pivot automation, in addition to bringing users BenQ’s exclusive CAD/CAM and animation modes.
“BenQ first shook up the marketplace with the BL2710PT, the first-ever WQHD monitor designed for CAD/CAM and 3D printing,” said Bob Wudeck, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at BenQ America Corp. “By launching the all-new BL3200PT, we’re offering the same market-changing features while adding a bigger monitor size, creating a bolder overall package.
“The BL3200PT is also custom-built to ready users for the rise of 3D print technology and is loaded with features made to meet the functional, creative, and ergonomic demands of professionals such as designers, architects, and engineers.”
Featuring a VA panel with 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angle capabilities, the BL3200PT’s WQHD resolution brings an incredible 77 percent more working space to users—perfect for designing, drafting, and engineering 3D prototypes.
The unit also displays graphics at ultra-large 2560×1440 resolution in full HD and brings a higher pixels per inch (ppi) density for sharper, more precise viewing.
To make small details such as complex wireframes more visible, the BL3200PT’s unique CAD/CAM mode gives users access to a custom color map for use with popular CAD programs. To change color settings automatically based on specific applications, the unit includes Display Pilot software while the device’s Auto-Pivot function further simplifies design workflows by dynamically rotating and positioning content automatically—eliminating the need to manually adjust computer settings.
According to a recent review of the twenty-seven-inch BL Series monitor by Reviewed.com: “This specialized display does everything right.” Staff Writer Lee Neikirk commented: “The BenQ BL2710PT offers up a very crisp WQHD resolution, providing 2,560 pixels horizontally and 1,440 pixels vertically. Professionals such as CAD/CAM engineers, architects, and Web designers can rest assured that their work will be highly detailed and visible.”
Part of BenQ’s RevolutionEyes monitor series, which increases user comfort during long periods of computer use, the BL3200PT incorporates BenQ’s exclusive ZeroFlicker™ technology. Using a new direct lighting system engineered to eliminate flicker issues caused by backlight LED controllers, the eye-comfort technology enhances productivity and reduces visual fatigue by eliminating monitor flickering at all brightness levels. In addition, the BL3200PT is equipped with Low Blue Light technology that successfully manages the exposure of blue spectrum light emitted by computer screens, further contributing to more comfortable viewing sessions.
Additional ergonomic features designed to improve users’ experience include:
Automatic Eye-Protect Sensor: Detects ambient light levels and automatically adjusts monitor brightness throughout the day for optimized clarity and comfort. Perfect for designers who have large windows in their offices.
Anti-Glare Reduction: Advanced anti-glare reduces screen reflection and eliminates visual interference, preventing both eye fatigue and stress.
Reading Mode: Recreates the comfortable experience of reading books by adjusting the monitor’s color temperature and brightness levels as well as balancing contrast ratio and sharpness to simulate the look of real paper.
Height Adjustment Stand (HAS): Allows users to find the best viewing angle for personal use or screen sharing from an extensive range of monitor adjustments such as height, tilt, pivot, and swivel.
Smart Reminder (Optional): Reminds users to take a break at predefined time intervals, contributing to a healthy work balance.
Adding to the BL3200PT’s versatility are two additional USB 3.0 ports, which transfer files nearly four times faster than the traditional USB 2.0 interfaces commonly found on today’s monitors. The BL3200PT also includes a mini USB port for connecting to peripherals such as on-screen display controllers.
