Dimension Design, announced the acquisition of Jacksonville, FL-based Media Works Inc., a move that is expected to provide more support for client’s needs and help the company further penetrate the marketplace for branded experiences.
This acquisition will increase the company’s U.S. sales capabilities, add to its production capacity, and broaden the types of branding solutions available to clients. Dimension Design will remain in the same Jacksonville location. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to Dimension Design CEO Mike Rogers, ”We launched an initiative in 2014 called ‘Inventing the Future.’ It features several goals focused on elevating our game for clients. This acquisition is the next step in that initiative. It’s a significant expansion of services that complement our ability to produce multi-channel experiences.”
According to Rogers, the complementary services resulting from this acquisition include:
- Large format UV, latex and offset printing
- Vinyl surface wraps with 3M certified installation
- Commercial and retail design and décor
- Graphic and web design
- Corporate meeting management
“We’re also adding a really talented team, including 3M certified installers, who will continue serving existing and new clients with a high-level of attention to detail,” Rogers said. “This includes Media Works Founder Theresa Dietsch who will join Dimension Design in a newly created role as Vice President.”
Media Works, located in Jacksonville’s Southbank, was founded and owned by Dietsch and built on outstanding client service. Since 1986 clients relied on the company for innovative, practical solutions for marketing and branding opportunities.
Dietsch commented, “We are very excited to be a part of the Dimension Design family and share in this vision and opportunity. We bring a wide range of complementary capabilities to Dimension Design’s strong, nationwide presence. The idea of being acquired by a company like Dimension Design became increasingly natural to me since client service is at the core of both organizations.”
The acquisition marks the second time in the last 19 months that Dimension Design has expanded its regional service footprint. In January 2015, the company opened a production center in Las Vegas to better support clients in the convention-focused market. The company hired media operations veteran Karen Steff as Director of Operations to lead and scale the Las Vegas facility.
In other developments, Jim Winter, chief operating officer of Dimension Design said that the company continues to invest in its existing people and resources as part of the its “Inventing the Future” initiative. “All directors at the company are now certified Six Sigma Certified Green Belts and all lead staff are Yellow Belts.” Continuing to support its industry-leading print capabilities, he also announced, “the company has purchased and installed two EFI/Reggiani wide-format printers, enabling the company to become an all-EFI/Reggiani producer for the dye-sublimation format. Reggiani printers are considered the ‘gold standard’ in high-end commercial printing.”
