Ricoh USA, Inc., has announced that the Philadelphia Eagles have expanded their partnership with Ricoh, both as their official document solutions provider and as an official partner. With these agreements, Ricoh’s commitment to the Philadelphia market continues to build upon a six-year relationship with the Eagles organization. Some of Ricoh’s newest technologies are helping the Eagles make information work in the evolving world of sports, such as Interactive Whiteboards and other Workstyle Innovation Technology offerings for streamlining playbook and play-card production.
“We are proud to partner with Ricoh, an organization that works hard to provide effective, efficient and customized solutions that address our unique needs,” said Ari Roitman, Eagles Senior Vice President of Business. “Their dedication to getting information where it needs to be, when it needs to be there, and in the format it’s needed, has been a major asset to our business and team.”
As a part of Ricoh’s role as the title sponsor of the Post-Game Show, a program watched by Eagles fans looking for a deeper analysis of the day’s action, the hosts use a Ricoh Interactive Whiteboard to annotate video and images to dissect plays, just like the coaches do in their meetings. Coaches are empowered to markup game footage in real time with players and securely save and send notes from sessions.
The Eagles also rely on Ricoh’s proven production print solutions to print playbooks and other documents. Through a variety of software solutions, including Ricoh’s @Remote, the Eagles saved nearly 55,000 sheets of paper in October alone while improving document security and visibility into print operations. Additionally, the partnership enables Ricoh to connect with fans with in-venue signage, social media, various messaging opportunities via the Eagles’ mobile app and exclusive VIP hospitality events.
“Ricoh’s corporate headquarters is in Malvern, PA, making the Philadelphia Eagles our home team. We strive to serve all of our customers effectively and holistically, but there is a special honor in supporting your local team like this,” said Tim Vellek, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Ricoh Americas. “We at Ricoh are proud to help the Philadelphia Eagles access the information they need, how, where and when they need it, whether that information is game footage in a wide receivers’ meeting or print statistics for an IT budget discussion.
“We look forward to the ongoing exploration of implementing new technologies that will help the Eagles soar to new heights.”
