Sign Builder Illustrated is proud to announce the initial members of our SBI Advisory Board. The SBI Advisory Board is made up of a diverse representation of industry experts, influencers, and various-sized sign shops across the country that we feel best reflect the current industry.
These sign-oriented professionals boast years of experience in areas such as full-service operations, custom dimensional signage, print and graphics, lighting, franchising, business management, etc.
The members of our SBI Advisory Board will provide input on the trends and topics that are relevant to the industry as well as help shape the editorial content presented in our magazine, e-newsletters, webinars, and other editorial platforms.

Joe Arenella
Joe Arenella founded two sign shops before launching SignTracker, a software program that helps sign shop owners run their shop. Joe Arenella is also the host of the Behind the Signs Facebook group and video podcast, as well as a regular contributor to our magazine.
Adam Brown
Adam Brown is president of Sign Effectz, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based one-stop custom shop for signage, architectural elements, and turnkey solutions for architects, general contractors, and national sign manufacturers.
Rebecca Considine
Rebecca Considine is Partner/Vice President of SpeedPro Image Chicago Loop, a proud Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that has been featured in multiple national trade magazines for their large format digital print and signage work, the only two-time recipient for national “Project of the Year,” and named a “Top Three” Sign Shop in Chicago for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Wendy Graves
Wendy Graves is president of InSIGNia Wholesale, a trusted wholesale sign company with industry-tested experience and expert knowledge in personalized signs, and a partner at the training- and education-oriented Make It Happen Signage Academy. Wendy is also the founder of Women In Signs, Etc. (W.I.S.E.), a ladies-only Facebook and LinkedIn network and host of the W.I.S.E. podcast on Spotify.
John Hackley
John Hackley brings over thirty-five years of experience in build-to-order sign manufacturing. He is Chief Efficiency Officer for Oculus Business Solutions which focuses on Lean Production Philosophy and Lean Tools. John facilitates shop turnarounds and speaks at industry events.
Joe Landin
Joe Landin is the owner of BSC Signs, a multi-million-dollar, full-service custom sign company located in Broomfield, Colorado. He was recognized as an “SBI Young Sign Maker” in 2021 as then-CEO of the company. Later that same year, Joe took over ownership from retiring John Dobie that same year.
Eric Lazar
Eric Lazar is Partner of SpeedPro Image Chicago Loop, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned large format printing studio located in downtown Chicago. Their offerings range from (but not limited to) decals, banners, wall murals, and floor and window graphics to exhibits, event and tradeshow signage, point-of-purchase, prototype and small-run boxes, router cutting, and vehicle wraps. Lazar’s studio-shop also prints directly to canvas, wood, metal, and acrylic.
Brian Quinter
Brian Quinter is the owner of Piqua, Ohio-based Quint Creative Signs, an award-winning custom manufacturer of various types of 3D signs (carved and painted signs, super-realistic Faux Wood signs, raised 3D text signs, V-carved signs, and more).
