Gemini, an industry leader in sign products and manufacturer of the Duets® line of premium engraving, ADA and architectural sign substrates, announces the successful completion of rigorous UV stability testing on its Duets Laser XT product line.
Conducted at the company’s test lab facilities, Gemini’s technical team subjected Duets Laser XT to an extensive battery of xenon-arc UV exposure, accelerated weathering and color spectrophotometer analysis on its entire line of Laser XT color combinations. Gemini’s testing protocol was developed to simulate the effects of intense exposure to direct sunlight, aging and weather comparable to southern-latitude U.S. conditions, assessing overall UV stability of the substrates in relation to measurable colorfastness and appearance changes. Accelerated testing represents 2 years of exposure in southern climates.
Test results prove that Duets Laser XT engraving substrates offer extended UV stability and resistance to fading. Post-test color analysis showed that as a whole, Duets Laser XT outperforms industry benchmarks for Delta-E color shifts, with many samples exhibiting unnoticeable color difference and virtually unchanged visual condition.
“Gemini is committed to providing the highest quality products and backs it up with extensive testing,” said Gary Harder, Director of Gemini’s Sign Distribution Products. “All Duets products are put through extensive testing assuring performance long before they get to the customer.”
Compatible with both laser and rotary engraving applications, Duets Laser XT is offered in a wide selection of color combinations and finishes, and is available in-stock nationwide from the Duets Partner Network of leading distributors.
