Highly innovative plastic sheet products manufacturer Vycom® is continuing its sustainability efforts by bringing back the Vycom Recycling Program to the International Sign Expo 2023.
While at the show, Vycom will be collecting printed and unprinted rigid PVC and acrylic sheets from select exhibitors for recycling into the company’s internal products.
Visitors are encouraged to learn more by stopping by the Vycom booth 2251 to be held in Las Vegas, April 12-14, 2023.
Diverting Plastic From Landfills
Understanding that sign and graphics shows are consumers of rigid PVC and acrylic used for extremely short periods during product demonstrations, Vycom will return to the International Sign Expo in 2023 to help divert these materials away from landfills.
In 2022, Vycom collected nearly 3,000 pounds of material from the International Sign Expo held in Atlanta, and more than 2,200 pounds of scrap from PRINTING United held in Las Vegas.
Working with ISA, Mandalay Bay, and Freeman as the official event services provider for the show, printed and cut sheets will be collected from specially marked bins and returned to the company for recycling and processing. The materials will be reprocessed into the company’s internal products, ensuring they do not end up in landfills.
Designated collection bins will be stationed in the ISA Green Recycling Zone, as well as in booths of partner OEMs such as Mimaki and Cutworx, to collect rigid PVC and acrylic scraps and trim as part of their demonstrations.
The program is provided at no charge to participating International Sign Expo 2023 exhibitors and is a win-win-win for all—the print service provider/fabricator, the customer, and the environment—with the opportunity to keep tens of millions of pounds of signage and graphics waste out of landfills each year, revolutionizing the industry to create a more sustainable future.

Premium Signboard Solutions for the Display Graphics Industry
Vycom manufactures market-leading brands of highly innovative plastic sheet products. For the display graphics industry, the company’s printable Celtec® family—including DigiLite®, Woodgrain, and Thick Gauge materials—is the most complete in range of thicknesses, finishes, and textures, for extruded PVC sheets available from a single manufacturer of 100 percent U.S.-made products.
Vycom also offers Polycarve® sheets, a multi-colored HDPE material for creating dimensional, color-contrasting signage using familiar routing and woodworking tools. Available in five standard color combinations, the Polycarve line includes a contrasting core color that—when the top layer is routed—becomes visible, providing an ideal solution for dimensional artistic expression, wayfinding, or outdoor-durable signage.
About the Vycom Recycling Program
The Vycom Recycling Program is designed to take back and recycle printed and unprinted rigid PVC and acrylic sheets, as well as scraps and drops from finishing and fabricating.
The program is intended for users of rigid PVC, acrylic, and PE products—in coordination with authorized distributors for drop-off or collection—to recycle used signage and scrap, which is returned to company recycling facilities and used to manufacture the company’s residential and commercial outdoor living and exterior products, ensuring these materials do not end up in landfills.
