American Print Consultants (APC), a leading distributor for wide format inkjet and textile equipment and supplies, has recently launched sales of the Shima Seiki SIP-160F3 DTG printer.
“We are very excited about the Shima SIP-160F3 printer, our roots are in textile and garment printing and this printer line fits in nicely with our current equipment portfolio. We have had both models (TP and Acid) in-house for a while but wanted to take out time to put them through their paces before customer placement. This printer offers our customers the ability to direct print on a variety of finished garments and items at a lower cost than other flatbed DTG printers in its class,” said Rob Almstrom, partner at APC.
The Shima Seiki SIP-160F3 is a unique DTG flatbed printer for printing directly on a variety of finished items with the ability to print multiple items at once across the full bed. The head carriage can be raised or lowered according to the thickness of the item, up to 50mm (1.96-inch). This allows printing on fabrics with three-dimensional textures and even directly on completed products, including whole garment knitwear.
Available in two sizes with the option of three different ink types Textile Pigment, Acid, and Reactive. The textile pigment ink configuration includes white as a choice!
Maximum Print Area
- S type: 1,600 mm (5.2 inches) x 1,000 mm (3.2 inches)

“The SIP is so well-engineered and innovative, we have been very pleased the white textile pigment ink it is opaque on colored materials and has a nice flexible hand. This printer is great for any company who currently does DTG and needs increased volume or wants to print on a variety of items and sizes,” said Brian Hendricks, partner at APC.
The Shima Seiki brand is a well-known quality Japanese engineered and manufactured textile equipment manufacturer. APC will be offering full package bundles of the SIP with pre-treatment unit, dryer, and steam chamber.
About American Print Consultants
American Print Consultants (APC) was formed in 2015 by three independent wide-format technicians all with decades of industry experience, Rob Almstrom, Brian Hendricks, and Dave Mee. The partners saw a need in the industry for a service-forward equipment and media distributor who truly partnered with customers from concept to final product.
“Our philosophy has always been, ‘Our experience is the difference in your experience.’ There is more to successful production than just getting a printer dropped off a complete service partner can make all the difference. We provide value through our experience and service,” said Mee.
