ISA International Sign Expo 2014 is inviting military veterans and transitioning service members to learn more about careers in the on-premise sign and visual communications industry as part of the Hiring Our Heroes campaign. ISA International Sign Expo 2014 is April 23-26 in Orlando, Florida.
ISA Sign Expo will welcome participants on Friday, April 25, for a guided tour of the tradeshow floor, which features more than 500 exhibitors showcasing the industry’s newest trends and innovations. They will then meet one-on-one with more than twenty of the top national sign companies and their executives.
“We are so excited to showcase our industry and career opportunities to those who have served our country,” said ISA President and CEO Lori Anderson. “We know the kind of skills that many of our military service personnel possess and we’re happy to see how those align with the needs in our industry.”
The on-premise sign industry offers a varied career with positions including job installers, sales people, fabricators, operational managers, artists, and electricians.
ISA has devoted significant efforts to workforce development in recent years. Hiring Our Heroes, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, intends to put more than half a million military veterans and spouses to work in 2014. Military unemployment rates have been higher than the overall unemployment in recent years. In addition to the event during ISA Sign Expo, sign companies can search through resumes or post open positions on the Hiring Our Heroes website.
Military veterans or transitioning service members wishing to participate in ISA Sign Expo should fill out a registration form.
