Rivers Casino Pittsburgh upgraded its building façade with a large format LED screen from SNA Displays. The digital screen was manufactured using SNA Displays’ EMPIRE™ Exterior line of LED video display technology and employs a 12mm pixel pitch.
Located in the city’s Northshore region near where the Ohio River splits, Rivers Casino offers hotel accommodations, dining, twenty-four-hour gaming, live entertainment, and meeting space.
Las Vegas and Scottsdale consulting and design solutions firm Coherent Design guided the technological upgrade, while Piros Signs provided installation services.
The façade-mounted LED screen, installed just under Rivers Casino branding, is 17-feet-4-inches tall and 36-feet-7-inches wide, wrapping around a corner at 90 degrees.
The display is inset into the parking structure so that it is flush with the surrounding frontage.
SNA Displays custom-engineered and fabricated the new screen to match the existing infrastructure as detailed drawings of the outdated display were unavailable.
“Our SNAPros™ are a flexible, solutions-oriented team,” said Nicole Rotyliano, project manager and SNAPros™ staff member herself. “As technical experts, when we encounter complications and conflicts in the field, we draw on decades of collective knowledge and expertise to adapt and ultimately find the right solution.”
With a resolution of 440 pixels high by 930 pixels wide, the screen processes more than 400,000 total pixels. It is used primarily for on-premise messaging.
SNA Displays is headquarters in Times Square and has worked with clients to design and build some of the largest and most recognizable digital spectaculars in the world. The company employs a team of SNAPros™—engineers, skilled project managers, systems experts, installation managers, and support staff—whose mission is total project satisfaction.
