Circa Resort & Casino – Downtown Las Vegas’ first ground-up casino-resort in 40 years – completed the installation of its first exterior sign. Manufactured by YESCO, the “CIRCA” neon sign spans 68 vertical feet and the first “C” measures to 34 feet high. Circa will officially open on the iconic Fremont Street Experience on October 28.
“This is a truly momentous day for this project,” says Derek Stevens, chief executive officer, Circa. “The sign raising is not only a big step for Circa, but a symbol of moving forward for Las Vegas. All things considered in 2020, it is great to have days like this that bring hope and excitement for the future. We are less than 100 days away from Circa’s opening and to see its name in this size and scale is incredible.”
Weighing nearly six tons and three stories high, the sign’s letters will illuminate with more than 3,000 fully programmable red-green-blue (RGB) light-emitting diode (LED) lights, which will be connected to the resort’s lighting-control system. It took YESCO approximately four weeks to fabricate the sign, with the installation taking place over a three-day period.
Opening October 28, 2020, Circa will be the only 21-plus casino resort in Las Vegas and will span 1.25-million square feet. The innovative property will celebrate the timeless spirit of the city while leading the charge for a bold new era with game-changing guest offerings. Amenity highlights will include 777 stunning rooms and suites, the world’s largest sportsbook, a pool amphitheater that will operate 365-days a year, an eclectic collection of original restaurant concepts, two-story casino and much more.
The resort also will showcase a dynamic year-round pool amphitheater, Stadium Swim, that will boast a 14-million-megapixel LED screen as the backdrop.
