With an eye toward making its customers more profitable, Agfa Graphics is bringing a wide array of printing systems, media and the best application lab in the country – the Six Strings Classic Blues Lounge to Sign Expo 2013 in Las Vegas. The company is also introducing its first Duratex fabric for UV curable, latex, solvent and eco-solvent printers.
Duratex PolyFab is making its North America trade show debut at Sign Expo. This high-quality, crease-free and water repellant fabric is extremely stretchable for expansion over frame systems.
The centerpiece of Agfa Graphics’ booth is the “Six Strings Classic Blues Lounge,” which invites attendees to see how they can expand into new markets with inkjet. The Lounge, which replicates a New Orleans Jazz nightclub, showcases various applications and the limitless possibilities created with the company’s inkjet media portfolio and equipment. The result is an inkjet-created franchise business that demonstrates the best of Agfa and Pitman.
“Almost every surface, image and promotional item was created using inkjet,” said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa Graphics, North America. “The ‘Six Strings Classic Blues Lounge’ is a stunning visual “application lab” of all the creative things that can be done with inkjet printing technology.”
The printing systems that will be demonstrated on the show floor in the Agfa Graphics booth (#4253) include:
- :Anapurna M2050, a high-speed, six-color plus white, UV-curable inkjet printer, is designed to give users a cost-effective solution for display printing. It has the ability to print in both uni- and bi-directional modes without compromising speed or quality. With a maximum resolution of 1440 dpi, the :Anapurna M2050 accommodates rigid materials and rolls.
- :Anapurna 2540 FB, an entry-level high-speed flatbed, UV-curable inkjet printer for graphic screen printers, photo shops and sign shops. It delivers near photo quality and offers exceptional value and ROI. The :Anapurna M2540 FB can print on practically any rigid and sheet material.
- :Jeti 1224 HDC UV-curable inkjet printer,ideal for display producers, sign-makers, screen-printers and digital print bureaus who need to work with all types of media. The printer’s FTR option makes it simple to work with vinyl, canvas, self-adhesive vinyl, polyester-based films, fabrics and papers, as well as typical materials, including rigid boards, foamcore, corrugated and aluminum composites, and wood.
- :Jeti 3020 Titan with 40 heads offers high speed CMYK printing with enhanced white throughput. The :Jeti 3020 Titan has the ability to increase speeds and capabilities as a business grows. The field-upgradeable :Jeti 3020 Titan is a high-production, high resolution, hybrid inkjet printer designed with a modular format. Users can start with a base configuration of 16 heads and upgrade all the way to 48 heads at any time to achieve productivity up to 2,432 sq. ft. per hour.
