Avery Dennison announced that Nolan Beck, a third-year graphic design student at the Cleveland Institute of Art, created a partial vehicle wrap design that was digitally printed on MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS™ and installed on a 2014 Jaguar F-TYPE convertible in Booth 863 at the 2013 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Expo, October 23-25, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. SGIA Expo provides graphics installers and professionals the opportunity to see the full spectrum of imaging technologies and applications for the screen, digital, graphic and garment industries.
“Nolan’s design highlights our ‘Film It – Imagine what you can do’ campaign perfectly,” said Joel Ross, senior manager, global marketing communications at Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions. “‘Imagine what you can do’ is aligned with all the possibilities our top-of-the-range MPI 1005 Supercast digital products offer. With Nolan’s creativity, the color gamut and excellent print performance of the film is ideally showcased.”
“The opportunity to work with a Fortune 500 company like Avery Dennison, while in school, is incredible,” said Beck. “After graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Art, I’d like to work at a small studio doing branding work.”
Beck, from Williamsburg, Virginia, now considers himself a Clevelander. He recently launched a creative studio called Matter., specializing in corporate and personal branding. “I enjoyed this project because it’s unlike anything I’ve done before and I love trying new things and getting outside of my comfort zone,” added Beck.
