The most versatile router-knife combination developed for digital print finishers is available now from AXYZ International, a global leader in CNC router and knife cutting systems.
The Trident Series offers high-speed knife processing with powerful routing capabilities and is set to revolutionize the graphics industry. It is designed to meet the traditional demands of the print finishing industry, while delivering overwhelming power to take on more challenging projects.
“What makes the Trident unique is its robust construction and that it can have spindles up to 10Hp. Unlike other machines with a lighter weight construction, the Trident is more capable of processing heavy duty materials such as acrylic, aluminum and medium-density fiberboard. And the Trident’s knife tools can be used for lightweight jobs including card, vinyl and foam,” said Greg Jenkins, Vice President, Sales for AXYZ International.
Processing a wide range of materials requires more than one cutting head. The Trident combines three different cutting technologies to provide maximum versatility. This is accomplished by offering a choice of routing spindle and two knives which can be either tangential or oscillating, or a combination of both. Some of the key features of Trident Series CNC routers are:
- Router spindle options (manual, quick-release, high-power and high-speed)
- Helical rack
- High-performance servo motors
- Automatic tool-length sensor and tool-changer
- Knife tools
- AXYZ SmartConsole
- High-power pumps or blowers
- Aluminum zoned vacuum beds
- Solid machine base
- A2MC Enterprise machine controller
Additional productivity options include the AVS camera recognition system, which provides exact alignment and accuracy in the cutting path, and high speed spindles that run at up to 40,000 rpm for even faster processing.
“The Trident is very popular with sign makers and print finishers who need a machine that has the versatility to handle a wide range of projects. It is fast, easy to operate, available with a wide range of process areas and can handle materials up to 4 inches thick,” said Jenkins.
The Trident machine will be demonstrated at the ISA International Sign Expo 2016 from April 20-23 in Orlando, Florida. Alternatively, prospective customers can schedule an appointment to see a demonstration of the Trident at one of our offices in Canada (Burlington, Calgary or Montreal) or in the United States (Atlanta, Cincinnati, Los Angeles or Tampa).
