Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to replace their existing marquee display. The installation took place this summer and doubled the display’s resolution from 9,200 pixels to 18,400 pixels, giving it the ability to show especially crisp wording and messages that are easier to read.
“We are proud to continue our venue updates with Daktronics,” said Aaron Apodaca, sponsorship and technical marketing manager, The Broadmoor World Arena. “The marquee is the first thing you see when entering our facility, so it was important that we have a strong presence.
“The new display will add to the outdoor atmosphere and provide a great way to keep guests and sponsors engaged.”
The display features 16 millimeter line spacing (an increase from the previously existing 25 millimeter display) and measures 6 feet high-by-11 feet wide. It features Daktronics industry-leading environmental protection for a long lifetime with consistent performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
“We’re excited that Broadmoor World Arena selected Daktronics for this project,” said Brady Jacobsen, Daktronics sales representative. “It builds on our long-standing relationship with the venue which is outfitted with Daktronics equipment on the inside of the facility as well. We look forward to seeing this installation making a huge impact for our customer.”
