James Litho of Ontario, California, with an eye on various projects to add to its portfolio and contribute to a more prosperous future, has become one of the latest printing companies to go for the 8-foot printing system known as the Jeti 1224 HDC (High Definition Color) flatbed from Agfa Graphics.
The Jeti 1224 HDC FTR (Flat to Roll) inkjet printer features the widest color gamut and highest productivity in its class, delivering high definition, sharp, fine text and photographic detail with bright, intense colors.
James Litho has more than 30 years of experience in the graphics and printing business. The company strives to be a single-source solution, offering on-line media management, graphic design, bindery and printing.
James Litho installed the Jeti 1224 HDC in February 2013 after researching the market thoroughly, in search of a device that would provide opportunities to expand the company’s product offerings.
“We knew we didn’t want to be pigeonholed into a specific market with a really low price point,” said Jeff James, President, James Litho. “Once we decided that we needed a flatbed solution that prints directly on rigid materials, we looked at the Jeti 1224 HDC with the optional roll to roll capability. It fit all of our criteria. It gives us the option to print on flexible material, a nice bonus for us, and it is flexible enough to print on just about any media.”
One of the most beneficial aspects of the Jeti 1224 HDC flatbed is its ease of use. According to James, the system is intuitive and easy to understand.
“So far it’s been a great experience for our sales staff and has created a lot of interest from our clients,” James said. “Also, the printer is built like a tank, and should endure many years of operation. We really like how the Jeti is built – it is a sturdy system.”
Engineered with a solid steel platform and designed for three shift operations, the Jeti 1224 HDC FTR features a unique, linear motor-driven vacuum bed for highly accurate dot placement in both flatbed mode or with the optional flat-to-roll (FTR) feature. Itcan print on anything that is flat and up to two inches thick. With its industrial grade construction, the Jeti 1224 HDC FTR can support media rolls up to 250 pounds.
“Commercial printers are turning to inkjet solutions more and more as they are discovering the myriad of ways they can enter new and profitable markets with these devices,” said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa Graphics, North America. “Agfa Graphics has the deepest portfolio of inkjet printing systems to help graphic communications companies fulfill almost any printing need.”
The Jeti 1224 HDC FTR is ideally suited for high resolution trade show graphics, POS (point-of-sale) displays, real estate signs, backlit signs, lenticular displays, high resolution banners, ceramic tiles, wood and many more flatbed applications.
