Swift Print Communications, an eco-friendly wide format printer in St. Louis, Missouri transformed a blank wall into a creative thinking space for a St. Louis Event Marketing Company using CanvasTac.
Swift Print Communications chose CanvasTac because of its thickness. Shawn Fogle, Vice President of Sales says, “I picked this material because of the thickness of the CanvasTac. There is a 3/4-inch gap in the middle of the wall. We did not want to hire labor to fill the gap and have to repaint the whole thing and wait for dry times.
“The thick CanvasTac covered it up beautifully. I have used other wallcovering materials and most are thin so the imperfections of the wall show through but not with CanvasTac.” CanvasTac is 17-mils thick with a repositionable adhesive. This allows the installer to perfectly place the material without damaging the wall.”
The material was purchased from Presto’s distributor, Laird Plastics in St. Louis. The 10-by-30-foot CanvasTac wall mural was printed on the solvent Epson Surecolor S50 printer and installed using a 1-inch overlap on smooth, painted drywall.
The inspiration behind the graphic was to transform an unsightly white wall which everyone faces into something that reinforces the desired culture after a corporate rebranding effort. Since the wall graphic has been installed Swift Print Communications have had countless accolades from everyone who has seen it. “The spirit of this graphic is spot on the culture to which it was placed. Fun, passion and communication excellence is a staple of this particular creative agency,” says Fogle.
He adds, “The material printed great. We had no issues at all with the printability. The images printed crisp and clean. I also like the support and service from Presto Tape too. They answered all questions during the discovery process and were helpful and on the phone during the installation. I could not have asked for better service.”
The customer loved the end result and Swift Print Communications would choose CanvasTac again for other projects.
