Other winning cutting equipment displayed includes the Fotoba XL320 Super-wide 130-in. cutter, ideal cutter for grand-format printer users. It compensates for tracking errors and is the perfect companion to all brands of large format inkjet printers. Also on the stand is the 64-in-wide Digitrim, a versatile self-squaring cutter/trimmer for sheets and rolls.
A unique feature of the Dreamcut XLD-170 is its automatic feed alignment. Users do not have to worry about print misalignment. The Dreamcut will automatically realign to the edge of the printed image producing square-finished images even if the printer fails to print parallel to the media edge, or if the printer fails to wind up the rolls squarely. Imagine cutting a 150-ft. roll of media in less than ten minutes.
The Dreamcut has garnered world-wide recognition for cutting and trimming flexible inkjet and photo media. It earns kudos for its clean cutting and trimming and for reducing labor costs and increasing productivity.
Fotoba automatic cutters have become an integral part of Hewlett-Packard’s digital printers for inline and off-line finishing, especially with the HP/Scitex UV Turbo Printers. Visitors can also see the Dreamcut XLD-170 in the HP Booth #919, directly across from Colex.
For several years, H-P has partnered with Colex and Fotoba to provide inline workflow solutions for HP’s high-speed, mega-size roll HP/Scitex UV Turbo Printers. The Colex Automatic Alignment Table receives the printed roll and feeds it correctly into the Fotoba TJOL 80-in-wide X-Y cutter for automatic cutting and trimming while the Turbo printer continues to print.
