As college teams and fans across the country prepare for the biggest basketball tournament of the year, Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota, is ready for the madness to begin with 13 of 14 venues using Daktronics products to entertain and inform fans, players and coaches alike. This year, those venues will host 64 of 67 games from tip off on March 15 at University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio, through the championship game on April 4 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
“It’s an exciting time of year for college basketball and an exciting time of year for Daktronics as our customers are hosting a large number of high-profile games at their venues,” said Daktronics Vice President of Live Events Jay Parker. “We’re looking forward to many successful events throughout this tournament as our products and services are showcased across the country.”
A team of Daktronics technical experts will be providing onsite event support for KFC Yum! Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center. Honda Center will receive pre-event checks as Daktronics services team prepares the venue for tip off.
“Leading up to the tournament, our services team has been working to prepare these three sites for game time,” said Daktronics Vice President of Services Sarah Rose. “As we continually provide event support for the largest events in sports, our team brings a high level of experience and dedication to our customers to help them succeed at every level of competition.”
Venues with Daktronics equipment include: University of Dayton Arena, Dunkin’ Donuts Center, Wells Fargo Arena, PNC Arena, Pepsi Center, Barclays Center, Scott Trade Center, Chesapeake Energy Arena, Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena, Honda Center, KFC Yum! Center, United Center and NRG Stadium.
In the men’s conference basketball tournaments, as teams vie to be one of the 68 teams to play for the national championship, Daktronics equipment will be featured at 17 of 33 hosting venues with event support at six of those locations.
