DreamScape is converting its complete line of fourteen textured printable vinyl wallcoverings to a new Low VOC vinyl formulation. This new vinyl follows DreamScape’s move to more eco-friendly wallcovering solutions that started with the non-pvc Terralon and Nolar products.
The new low voc vinyl meets California IAQ-1350 low emission standards for indoor air quality and complies with Prop 65 requirements. In addition, DreamScape now meets the new, stricter WA-101-A standards for Type II wallcoverings. Printers can expect the same ultra white base, print quality and performance.
“The new formulation is another milestone in our constant improvement process to bring new and more ecological products to our customers and their clients. Passing CA-1350 is something we have always wanted to do, but for years it just wasn’t possible with a vinyl product. Indoor air quality is a critical part of the new WA-101 standard, and Dreamscape is proud to be the first commercial vinyl wallcovering option for the digital print industry that can comply. This will prove to be a very important feature as large jobs become specified with the new standards in mind,” said President Roy Ritchie.
This new product is a Type II commercial digital wallcovering with a Class “A” fire rating. It is ideal for both short run and high-volume digital production applications and are available in 54-inch-width rolls of 75-, 150-, and 300-foot lengths. All are delivered on three-inch heavy-duty cores with no production splices.
Trial rolls (27-by-15 inches) are available for sampling.
