ER2 Image Group, a leader in full-service grand format printing, is getting even bigger. ER2 has added a new 132-inch d.gen Grande G5 Textile Printer that provides the widest, fastest, and highest resolution platform for dye sublimation printing.
With its Industrial Ricoh Gen5 print heads and industry-leading textile feeding system, the d.gen G5 prints direct to stretch fabrics and backlit fabrics. The inline fixations speeds of 2000 square feet per hour will allow ER2 to more than triple their current textile printing capacity while providing the best resolution available in fabric printing.
“ER2 is now one of a few elite companies in the U.S. with this technology,” said Gary Schellerer Jr., Vice President of Operations. “This is by far the best option available to customers considering large format fabric printing. Its 2400-dpi resolution and ability to print direct gives you saturation levels you just don’t see with other printers.”
In selecting their new textile printer, ER2 partnered with Media One Digital Imaging Solutions, the exclusive North American distributor of d.gen’s printers. “We are honored that ER2 chose us to be their partner,” says Jason Bartusick, President of Media One.
ER2 believes fabric is the future for grand format printing. Much lighter and more portable than vinyl or rigid substrates, even large fabric displays can be folded to ship inexpensively in small containers. Fabric can also be easily stretched onto frames to create shapes and curves, opening new possibilities for displays. Fabric is also eco-friendly, featuring water-based dye sublimation inks, and easily washable.
“Across the board, fabric printing offers benefits that can’t be matched by other materials,” said Schellerer.
