ER2 Image Group, a full‐service grand format printing company, announced the installation of an HP LX 3500 extra-large format printer in the company’s Bloomingdale, Illinois facility. The printer is one of the first operational units in the Chicago area. The innovative water-‐based pigment formulation used in the HP LX 3500 means no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are released during the printing or drying process.
“Our customers have been asking for a production process that has a smaller carbon footprint without loss of quality,” explained Gary Schellerer, Jr., ER2’s vice president of Operations. “We chose the HP LX 3500, which uses the latest latex ink technology. It’s a very green, earth friendly process.”
