The deal is part of a national growth strategy focusing on expansion through a combination of new center development and conversions of existing independent sign shops. As part of the conversion initiative, FASTSIGNS offers the dominant brand name in the visual communications industry, the highest average unit volumes, unparalleled franchisee satisfaction, access to endless marketing resources and all of the benefits that come from networking with various centers nationwide. FASTSIGNS has also recently secured $4 million in financing for franchisees opening new centers.
“FASTSIGNS offers a proven economic model and stability to individuals looking to increase their profits while decreasing costs,” said Mark Jameson, senior vice president of Franchise Development for FASTSIGNS. “Our conversion initiative allows store owners to experience all the benefits and support of an established system while remaining in business for themselves.”
The new Toledo FASTSIGNS is expected to convert in April 2011 in Springfield Township and will be a conversion of the independent sign and graphics store, Toledo Signs and Designs. Having owned and operated the store for the past thirteen years, local owner Karrie Brock saw it as an ideal time to affiliate herself with an industry-leading franchise system to help her continue to grow her business. Brock started working in the industry during college, formed a passion for the industry and took the opportunity to open her own business.
“Despite the economy, our company has remained successful, but becoming a part of the FASTSIGNS franchise community presents us with the opportunity to grow at a whole new level,” said Brock. “The FASTSIGNS franchise owners are supportive of each other and we are excited to have the chance to bounce ideas off other FASTSIGNS franchise owners who have a vast knowledge of the business model.”
The new Salem FASTSIGNS will be a conversion of an independent sign and graphics store, Diverse Digital Imaging Group. Having owned and operated the location for the past two years, local owners John and Stacey DeMinico saw it as an ideal time to affiliate themselves with an industry-leading franchise system to help them successfully grow their business. John, who started printing as a hobby over ten years ago, formed a passion for the industry and started a business out of his home. The success he experienced motivated him to move into a storefront so that he could serve a larger customer base.
“Joining FASTSIGNS presents a great opportunity to utilize a proven business model that will guide us towards success,” said John DeMinico. “We want our customers to be assured that we are still a local business working directly with the local community. Our goal is provide the right communications solutions to meet the needs of our customers.”
The new locations mark yet another independent sign shop owner taking advantage of FASTSIGNS new conversion program offering financial incentives for independent sign shop owners. “With this program, the financial assistance will help the independent owner move ahead during these tough economic times,” added Jameson.
