3A Composites USA is pleased to announce that original Fome-Cor® graphic display board now is available in the 1/2-inch thickness. Fome-Cor board in the 1/2-inch thickness allows graphic designers to add more dimensionality and rigidity to short-term point-of-purchase displays, interior signage, and exhibits and kiosks.
Fome-Cor board can be die-cut producing a permanently closed compressed edge and can be embossed to create three-dimensional effects. It’s also perfect for long-term framing applications and for mounting printed graphics.
Fome-Cor board in the 1/2-inch thickness is available with white extruded polystyrene foam bonded between two clay-coated paper liners in the Bright White color. These Bright White liners create graphics that pop in direct digital-printing and screen-printing applications.
Fome-Cor board in the 1/2-inch thickness is available in four standard sheet sizes, including: 48-inch-by-96-inch sheets, 48-inch-by-120-inch sheets, 60-inch-by-96-inch sheets, and 60-inch-by-120-inch sheets.
“We’re pleased that our manufacturing operation now is capable of producing Fome-Cor board in the half-inch thickness requested by our customers,” said Brandon Wyatt, market manager, Graphic Display, 3A Composites USA. “It’s 3A Composites’ goal to be a one-stop shop for foam-centered graphic display boards. Our Fome-Cor board offering now ranges from the market’s thinnest 1/8-inch thickness up to this new 1/2-inch thickness.”
Bright White Fome-Cor now is available in the 1/8-inch, 3/16-inch, 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch thicknesses. Fome-Cor JetMount®—which consists of denser extruded polystyrene foam—is available in the 1/4-inch thickness.
Fome-Cor board was the first foam board on the market and is still the board that graphic artists ask for by name. It consists of extruded polystyrene foam bonded between various high-quality papers that feature a smooth surface for decorating. Fome-Cor board is lightweight, rigid, warp-resistant, and easy to cut.
