FUJIFILM Canada Inc. and FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division returned as exhibitors and sponsors of Grafik’Art Montreal, Quebec’s premier gathering of graphic arts professionals, May 7 – 9, 2015.
The three-day event, located at Place Bonaventure, offered distinct zones on the show floor highlighting packaging, sublimation, and garment/promotional products.
Fujifilm’s ‘Win More Work’ themed booth engaged attendees with live demonstrations of the Acuity Select, a high speed flatbed inkjet press, delivering all of the market-leading image quality, performance and reliability benefits of the Acuity Series. The Acuity Select is ideal for graphic display, POP, sign shops, commercial photo labs and offset printers.
Additionally, attendees experienced the versatile Acuity LED 1600, a wide format inkjet press featuring LED curing with optimized fast-curing UV-LED Uvijet ink. The Acuity LED 1600 produces groundbreaking image quality on both roll and rigid stocks, and features eight colors, including white and clear ink, for creating special effects for signs, graphic displays, as well as packaging and label applications.
“Fujifilm had a great opportunity to share FLENEX plates with the packaging industry. Our innovative water-washable flexographic plate system for package printing earned significant attention on the show floor,” said Pierre Foisy, Eastern Canadian regional sales manager, FUJIFILM Canada, Inc. “Attendees were also very interested in our wide format technology, specifically the Acuity Select and the Acuity LED 1600.”
Interactive stations were also available at Fujifilm’s booth, showcasing Fujifilm solutions to help printers win more work. Fujifilm experts were on hand to demonstrate workflow and color management, to review features and benefits of the latest production inkjet, wide format and packaging equipment, as well as the offset and flexo platemaking systems. Highlights included high speed and integrated workflow Fujifilm XMF – a highly capable workflow system based on JDF specifications and Adobe APPE technology; the powerful and flexible production hub of XMF Workflow offers an impressive set of capabilities in pre-flighting, color management, imposition and screening for a variety of output.
Another workstation focused on color management in the cloud: ColorPath Sync. Containing a suite of state-of-the-art cloud-based color management tools that align output devices to designated color targets, ColorPath Sync incorporates optimized color correction and a simple, step-by-step interface to achieve industry-leading results in creating and maintaining color output device alignments.
Featured areas within Fujifilm’s booth highlighted technology in production inkjet and offset innovations, including the J Press 720S, a second-generation B2 sheet-fed digital inkjet press. Attendees interested in flexo, inkjet and hybrid packaging learned more about the Graphium, a high-speed digital UV inkjet press for label and packaging. Visitors also reviewed stunning wide format display graphics from the Inca Onset series of UV flatbed presses.
