Gemini Incorporated’s manufacturing facilities in Decorah, Iowa were recently awarded a Bronze Incident Rate Excellence Award from the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council. The award was presented during the Council’s 59th Annual Professional Development Conference and Expo held April 25-27 in Dubuque, Iowa. The Iowa-Illinois Safety Council is a Chapter of the National Safety Council and is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to protecting life and promoting health.
Gemini received the award for its outstanding achievement in accident prevention during the 2011 calendar year. To qualify, Gemini had to demonstrate an incident rate lower than the national average for its specific industry. As a recipient of a Bronze Award, Gemini has achieved an Incident Rate that was equal to or greater than 50 percent the national average for its North American Classification System category while remaining under the national average.
Gemini was one of only 170 business, industries, and government agencies in Illinois and Iowa to receive an award for promoting active safety programs and reducing OSHA-recordable injuries among its employees.
