Global Imaging Inc. is proud to announce its 20th year of success in the printing industry. What started as Global Printer Supplies, a supplier of consumables for thermal and sublimation photo printers, is now the leading integrator of wide and grand format printers and supplies, with an impressive portfolio of state-of-the art products, recognized technical expertise and service, four distinct brands, and revenues in excess of $20 million.
“We had a vision for a company that would be solutions based and customer focused,” said Global’s President Tara Lamb, who founded the company with Greg Lamb in 1995. “As the imaging industry trended away from conventional methods to cutting edge digital print equipment, we recognized the need to provide clients with a cohesive, turnkey solution to their digital imaging needs and that became the foundation on which Global Imaging was built.”
Throughout its 20-year history, Global has experienced consistent growth and continued to expand its product offerings. Identifying new opportunities as technology and the industry rapidly advanced have become the hallmark of Global’s way of doing business, as evidenced by the various brands the founders established in the last five years.
Global Garage, founded in 2009, has become the world’s leading online marketplace for buying and selling used grand format printing equipment and also provides printhead cleaning services to help alleviate expensive printhead replacement costs. Panoply Finance soon followed, offering in-house financing assistance and quick turnaround times as a convenient way for customers to buy new and used equipment and get their financing efficiently under one roof.
Panoply Inks, established in 2010, manufactures high quality, consistently performing inks for a fraction of the cost giving customers a less expensive alternative to OEM inks. And in 2011, as digital textile printing forged a new frontier, Global’s founders were one of the first to explore this new space with a groundbreaking idea that allowed customers to enter the market at a reasonable cost: a recycled frame completely updated to become transformed into state-of-the art technology.
PrinterEvolution opened the door for businesses to become profitable with innovative high quality, high performing industrial and commercial digital textile printers and continues to introduce new products, providing the industry with one of the most comprehensive dye sublimation textile printer offerings on the market.
Global’s most recent innovation is the 6500-square-foot Workflow Studio, adjacent to the corporate headquarters. The Workflow Studio is the only demonstration showroom in the country that features a complete grand format workflow from pre-press to finishing. Customers can make the best buying decision by getting a hands-on experience of the full realm of cutting-edge products under one roof and get personalized attention to their grand format needs.
The company plans to celebrate its 20-year anniversary with sales incentive programs and customer and staff contests. “Growth and innovation make up the fabric of our company and 20 years is a major milestone for us. We’ve been lucky to have loyal customers and hard-working, committed employees who are the best in the industry. We will continue to provide new products and services that meet market voids, fill gaps, and answer demand with customer-based, value added solutions.” Lamb said.
