GMG, the leading developer and supplier of high-end color management software solutions, and Ernest Green & Son Ltd., the largest independent distributor of graphic arts products and services in Canada, announce they have reached an agreement to allow Ernest Green and Son to represent the entire GMG product line throughout Canada, effective immediately.
While Ernest Green specializes in many areas of print and graphic arts, including flexography, offset printing, CTP, digital presses and wide-format products, their primary focus for GMG products will be with flexography/packaging and commercial printing with a growing focus on large format, where there is a great opportunity to educate printers on the value of GMG color management solutions. This includes products such as GMG ColorProof, GMG FlexoProof, GMG OpenColor, and GMG ColorServer, among many others.
“Certainly, in our opinion GMG is the best of the best in color management, rendering and productivity. Combined with our reach, selling equipment and applications throughout Canada and our high level of technical support, this partnership made a lot of sense,” comments Roger Parsons, Regional Manager, Eastern Canada, at Ernest Green & Son Ltd. “GMG has a very broad product line that appeals to different market segments—including offset, litho, flexo and wide format—with a reputation for precision color rendering and consistency. As a distributor, it is always helpful when one vendor can serve many market segments.”
“We look forward to working with Ernest Green. They are a reference in the Canadian market and are all about offering value-added services and solutions to their customers. As such they are an excellent match to GMG and our core values. GMG fits well into their strategy to represent color and print consistency and excellence. This lends itself to flexo, offset, litho or digital presses,” explains Bart Fret, GMG Director of Sales, Canada Region. “Ernest Green has considerable expertise in controlling color in the pressroom, particularly with flexo—provided by a Flexo division that helps companies achieve operational excellence and process improvement—and offset printers. Meanwhile, GMG will further enhance print by providing a sure-fire way to deliver consistent color management software solutions.”
