The Rolinx Kala® Mistral roller laminator, available from GSG, offers versatility, quality and productivity that are exceptional in its price range. It performs single-side lamination, with or without waste paper, and simultaneous lamination and adhesive mounting encapsulation in one operation, on boards up to two inches thick. It also can create a color background using vinyl and works with application tape.
Designed for speed and functionality, the Mistral heats in seven minutes (maximum roller temperature 60 degrees C) and operates at speeds up to 21 feet per minutes. Light, self-blocking roll shafts, a metal feeding tray and a paper guide for easy print insertion save time installing film. Tension adjustments are maintained when changing reels.
Roll shafts can be used in any position of the machine and in both directions. All functions are centralized on a user-friendly control panel within easy reach, and a multifunction footswitch allows hands-free operation when feeding wider prints. Four levels of protection are incorporated for operator safety.
The Mistral requires no tools (e.g., locking rings or pivoting shafts), reducing space requirements and up to four film rolls can be easily stored and accessible under it. Other features include a squaring guide for processing rigid panels in series and an electronically monitored pressure adjustment system to ensure uniform pressure on the roller contact zone.
The Mistral comes with five roll shafts and one unwinding shaft, as well as a safety cutter to protect laminating rollers from unsafe operation. A roll-to-roll system is delivered as standard.
It is available in two models: the 1650 (65-inch max working width) and the 2100 (83-inch max working width); both have a one-year warranty.
