All five GSG locations joined forces in January to participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring, an organization working to fight hunger and poverty in local communities around the time of the Super Bowl football game. Employees were asked to donate canned goods and nonperishable food items, which were collected at each location. GSG collected a total of 445 food items that were donated to local hunger-relief charities
In 2012, more than 10,000 Souper Bowl of Caring groups collected more than $9.8 million in dollars and food for local hunger-relief charities. That’s a total of more than $90 million collected since the movement began in 1990!
