The Gator® line of heavy-duty graphic display boards—including Gatorplast® and Gatorfoam®—will be showcased at the 3A Composites USA Booth No. 1217 at the ISA International Sign Expo 2016 April 20-23 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. These Gator rigid substrates allow designers and fabricators to create high-performing signage both indoors and out.
Gatorplast consists of extruded polystyrene foam bonded between two high-impact polystyrene cap sheets. Display and sign fabricators can direct screen print and digitally direct print Gatorplast board, saving time, labor and materials. No surface priming or pre-coating is necessary. Additionally, vinyl lettering can be applied to Gatorplast and then removed or repositioned without incurring damage to this graphic display board’s tough, plastic surface.
Lightweight, water-resistant Gatorplast is perfect for creating indoor signage, point-of-purchase displays, exhibits and kiosks. Gatorplast is available with white facers/white foam and black facers/black foam in the 3/16-inch, 1/2-inch, 3/4-inch and 1-inch thicknesses. Standard Gatorplast sizes include 48-by-96-inch, 50-by-100-inch, and 60-by-120-inch sheets.
Gatorfoam—the original heavy-duty graphic display board—consists of polystyrene foam bonded between two layers of wood-fiber veneer laminate. This unique construction makes Gatorfoam rigid yet lightweight and warp-resistant; its surface also is exceptionally smooth and strong, offering superior dent- and scratch-resistance. Gatorfoam is available in several combinations of white and black facers and white or black foam as well as natural facers with white foam. Gatorfoam is available in seven standard thicknesses ranging from 3/16 inches to 2 inches and in 48-by 96-inch, 60-by-96-inch, and 60-by-120-inch sheets.
Gatorfoam featuring new Bright White facers is the brightest board of its kind, producing vibrant colors in both digital-printing and screen-printing applications. Gatorfoam is an ideal substrate for creating both interior and exterior signage, point-of-purchase displays, exhibits, and kiosks.
Gatorfoam Exterior—available in the 1-inch, 1.5-inch, and 2-inch thicknesses—is manufactured with a specially formulated adhesive that improves both bond strength and moisture resistance in exterior signage and displays. When installed outdoors, it is recommended that Gatorfoam edges be painted to protect the foam from UV exposure.
