Priming the paper application tape before coating it with adhesive ensures excellent adhesive anchorage. This prevents adhesive transfer when performing wet applications.
Jim Hingst writes, “Before we coat an application paper with adhesive, the paper facestock is primed. Not all manufacturers prime their papers, but they should.”
