Today at DscoopX, HP demonstrated continued innovation across the graphics solutions portfolio, showcasing enhancements to HP Indigo 10000, 7800, WS6800, 20000 and 30000 Digital Presses as well as new services and workflow offerings, helping customers drive business growth and printing industry transformation.
Offering print service providers higher print quality, improved productivity, and increased application range(1), new innovations include an enhancement package for the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, upgrades for HP Indigo 7800 and WS6800 Digital Presses, additional application possibilities for HP Indigo 20000 and 30000 Digital Presses and a multi-faceted service solution for HP Indigo users.

HP Indigo innovation
The HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press enhancement package provides significant improvements(1) in color uniformity, productivity and usability as well as an expanded application range enabled by new spot colors and specialty inks, including HP Indigo ElectroInk white.

In addition, a new Enhanced Productivity Mode (EPM) Pre-flight tool by Enfocus will help HP Indigo 10000, 7800, and 5600 Digital Press customers simplify use of EPM, which drives a growing number of HP Indigo printed pages, including one fourth of all HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press pages(1).
The HP Indigo 7800 Digital Press now enables printing on canvas in addition to printing synthetic and lenticular applications with One Shot Color technology, and Smart Scheduling boosts productivity by up to 50 percent per shift.(2) The HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Press offers a Michelman DP680 Primer for added versatility and lowers primer-related costs. New environmental advancements for the HP Indigo 7800 and WS6800 Digital Presses minimize the need for additional imaging oil. Existing HP Indigo 7500, 7600 and WS6600 Digital Press customers can upgrade to receive these new features of the 7800 and WS6800 presses.
Building on its proven ability to print on flexible packaging and pressure-sensitive label stocks, the HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press will be highlighting a wide application range, producing shrink sleeves and wrap-around labels, and showing B1-sized posters and point-of-purchase displays. The HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press now prints on metalized media. At DscoopX, the press will be demonstrating a single pass double varnishing solution with the TRESU iCoat 30000 Twin, as well as showcasing the KAMA FlexFold 52 folder-gluer.
HP also introduced HP Service Advantage for HP Indigo customers, which includes HP Indigo Printbeat, a performance tool providing customers with greater visibility and insight into their press’ performance. The HP Indigo Printbeat report provides easy access to key performance information, which has been recognized as instrumental in driving continuous improvements in uptime and productivity for operational excellence – attendees will be able to receive personalized HP Indigo Printbeat reports live at the Solutions Showcase. HP Service Advantage also includes a Customer Excellence Program offering onsite step-by-step operation and production mentorship as well as training programs at a new state-of-the-art training center in Alpharetta, Georgia.
The HP SmartStream Designer for Adobe Illustrator is now available to a wider range of HP Indigo users, bringing advanced variable data printing capabilities for labels and packaging applications, including access to HP SmartStream Mosaic automated design capabilities. In addition, customers with HP SmartStream Designer or SmartStream Composer now have access to advanced security solutions, such as Global Product Authentication Service (GPAS), a security print and track and trace solution by HP.
HP customers drive printing industry transformation
HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press customers’ average print volumes have more than doubled in the last twelve months, printing over 100 million monthly impressions, and nearly 20 customers have added multiple units, including Genesis Direct, which has ordered three HP Indigo 10000 Digital Presses.
Equipped with a wider format for digitally produced labels and packaging, HP Indigo 20000 and 30000 Digital Press customers are poised to transform the packaging industry. The Rako Group purchased its third HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press to produce small- to medium-size runs of flexible packaging and shrink sleeves for the food industry.
HP Inkjet and Large Format momentum at DscoopX
Immediately preceding DscoopX, HP Inkjet Web Press users gathered for the inaugural Jetcomm conference, a learning and networking opportunity for HP production inkjet customers around the world, which was formed in a collaborative effort between HP, leading PSPs and Dscoop.
HP also showcased HP Latex and Designjet solutions. The HP Latex 3000 and 360 Printers deliver a range of high-quality indoor and outdoor applications, including wallcoverings and canvases, point-of-purchase signage and vehicle graphics. The HP Designjet Z6800 and Z3200 Photo Printers featured in the booth produce gallery-quality prints with power and precision.
The HP booth highlighted press-driven application possibilities, showcasing innovative customer projects, and offered technology demonstrations led by HP customers, partner booth tours as well as a workflow and end-to-end solutions smart bar.
