A year after basking in the aftermath of what company officials described as the best response to a North American trade show in the previous five years, INX Digital is looking to continue being on the same page with SGIA Expo attendees in Orlando. A trio of innovative TRIANGLE® brand ink products will be on display in the INX Digital booth (2122) for the October 23-25 event at the Orange County Convention Center.
The immensely popular TRIANGLE wide format inkjet inks were a major hit with show visitors a year ago. The roster is being expanded for this year’s show with the formal introductions of MED and ESC, plus a preview demonstration of HLX latex inks.
“We listen to our customers and distributors, and they mostly want new alternative ink sets,” said Craig Reid, vice president – Digital Division of INX International Ink Co., who joined the company last April. “Our global R&D group has done a fantastic job this past year developing the three new ink sets we are introducing at the SGIA Expo.”
The HXL latex inks will be previewed on an HP Designjet L2550 printer every day of the show. Color and chemically compatible with the HP 789 and 792 ink series, sizeable cost savings over the OEM inks are among the expectations users can expect from HXL.
“HXL is a highly cost effective latex replacement ink for the huge installment base of HP units in the marketplace. We plan to begin shipment of this ink late in the first quarter of 2014,” remarked Mr. Reid.
MED is a UV LED ink designed to be used with the Mimaki® 3042 UV LED flatbed desktop printer. Available in six colors plus white, and clear and compatible with Ricoh Gen 4 print heads, it boasts significant benefits and is more flexible than Mimaki LH100 series inks. MED offers better adhesion to a wider variety of plastics, including clear, white and colored substrates, in addition to high abrasion resistance and a smoother print surface without banding. It also has the ability to print on difficult surfaces, so INX Digital will demonstrate throughout the show how it’s done on items like golf balls, plastic phone cases and other materials.
“Our TRIANGLE MED ink fits the needs for the growing specialty print market and the growing installed base of the small Mimaki UV flatbed printers. MED enables a much greater compatibility of unique substrates,” explained Reid.
An alternative eco solvent ink, ESC is designed to run on the Epson SureColor and Epson Stylus® GS6000 commercial outdoor printers. Producing sensational color for outdoor banners, posters and tradeshow graphics, Reid says it can be done quickly since the GS6000 is the fastest 64-inch wide roll-to-roll printer in its class.
“Our new TRIANGLE ESC ink is truly an alternative ink that provides not only chemical and color compatibility, but dramatic improvement in outdoor durability when compared to the Epson ink and especially for the GS6000 model.”
In tune with INX Digital’s long-standing policy on developing greener and sustainable products, ESC provides many outstanding attributes. In addition to improved Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) resistance, the ink is color and chemically compatible with OEM inks. The yellow color set offers extended two-year durability and no color profiling is required.
ESC will be demonstrated in the booth on an Epson Stylus GS6000 printer with an Eco Bulk ink delivery system that uses 100 percent recycled material. INX Digital supports these and other TRIANGLE brand products with an Ink Train warranty. Ink experts will be available in the booth to answer questions.
