At a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony held on September 27, KIIAN USA officially opened for business, marking the launch of the company’s first digital textile and signage ink production facility in North America and the expansion of the KIIAN digital business in the Americas.
This groundbreaking development is part of a strategic program to internationally expand KIIAN’s ink business. The establishment of a regional headquarters in the United States (one of the most important of all global markets) is a key development in KIIAN’s growth. Located in Hamilton County, Tennessee, the focus for the KIIAN USA operation will be to extend and develop KIIAN’s digital business in North America, as well as to support and assist growth for the rapidly-developing Central and South American markets.
“KIIAN’s investment illustrates Tennessee’s ability to compete on a global scale and attract companies that offer quality, high-tech manufacturing jobs,” said Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty. “We welcome KIIAN’s introduction to the U.S. and are pleased to be the home of their first North American headquarters.”
In line with the KIIAN brand promise to “Think Global and Act Local,” this strategic investment will immediately provide KIIAN’s North American customers with clear service benefits, an improved connection to the company and a more locally focused approach to the U.S. market.
“The next phase of growth for KIIAN is to develop our innovative ink business in the key global textile and signage markets,” said KIIAN Group CEO Fabio Festorazzi. “The establishment of a KIIAN headquarters in Tennessee provides our business with a professional base in a strategically-important market and one that will grow our business and improve the service that we provide our customers.”
KIIAN USA is led by Alessandro Ratti, whose experience and success in developing KIIAN’s digital textile ink range has led to rapid growth for the division.
“I am obviously excited to be leading KIIAN in such an important market and at such a positive time for the business,” said Ratti, general manager of KIIAN Group. “In the North American market, there is already a strong demand for our specialist aqueous textile inks, and I am excited and confident about the potential to generate the kind of success that will continue to grow our business profitably in the U.S.”
