Kodak is a gold sponsor at the Annual EFI Worldwide Users’ Conference, Connect 2013, which takes place January 15-18 at the Wynn Las Vegas. At the conference, print service providers will have the opportunity to see the next generation of KODAK Unified Workflow Solutions and learn more about the integration between Kodak and EFI Solutions. Attendees visiting the Kodak booth (#104) will see firsthand how these integrated technologies can deliver real value to their businesses.
Through a cooperative partnership, Kodak and EFI have developed real-time connectivity to allow job data to flow seamlessly from the MIS to the prepress workflow to press and back. Presentations and demonstrations during the conference will highlight the integration between KODAK PRINERGY Workflow and EFI MONARCH or PACE MIS Software. These combined solutions can help to eliminate costly manual processes and provide improved visibility into planned versus actual production costs.
“Kodak has strong relationships with industry leaders that help us deliver high-quality integrated solutions, with exceptional return on investment, to our customers,” said Jon Bracken, Kodak’s General Manager of Unified Workflow Solutions. “Kodak’s workflow portfolio and customization expertise, combined with EFI’s technologies, give us the breadth and flexibility to fit our customers’ unique requirements.”
Kodak and EFI first announced the commercial availability of KODAK PRINERGY Workflow connectivity to EFI FIERY Digital Print Servers in June of last year. This offering gives print service providers a fully integrated solution to manage jobs for multiple offset and digital devices from a single user interface.
The integration between Kodak and EFI has further expanded more recently with EFI’s announced acquisition of the Online Print Solutions (OPS) web-to-print software platform in October 2012. Kodak has been an authorized reseller of OPS software for the last two years and has worked to align PRINERGY Workflow with the OPS platform. The integration allows jobs to move seamlessly from the time a print buyer places an order online, all the way through to print production.
Patrick Kerr, Kodak’s Worldwide Product Evangelist of Unified Workflow Solutions, will be participating in a number of educational sessions on workflow integration and automation at Connect 2013. During a breakout session titled, “Kodak and EFI: When Vision Turns into Reality,” Kerr will discuss how the breadth of solutions from Kodak and EFI—and the connectivity between them—can deliver what the industry has been asking for: a true end-to-end workflow, accessible 24/7 from a web browser. This informative session will take place on Thursday, January 17, at 11:15 a.m.
Visitors to the Kodak booth will also enjoy live demonstrations of KODAK PRINERGY Workflow 6, the next generation of the world’s industry-leading workflow. PRINERGY Workflow took home the first-ever MUST SEE ’EMS Legacy Award at Graph Expo 2012 and is the system of choice for powerful file preflighting, color management, trapping, and imposition.
Demonstrations of the KODAK INSITE Prepress Portal System and the new Kodak app for iPad tablets and devices will also be performed at the Kodak booth.
