Lauretano Sign Group, the Connecticut based International Signage Contractor, has just completed Phase One of the Worldwide Signage Rebranding Program for UTC Aerospace Systems. Phase one consisted of multiple locations throughout the United States and several countries in Europe and Asia. Phase Two is now underway.
UTC Aerospace Systems is the name of the new business unit formed between Hamilton Sundstrand, a United Technologies Company based in Connecticut, and Goodrich, based in North Carolina, following UTC’s acquisition of Goodrich.
Lauretano Sign Group was awarded this major undertaking based on their decades of experience in executing multi-location, multi-country signage rebranding projects.
The logistics management of a worldwide program and timeframe for the Phase One effort provided an interesting and challenging process. The new signage needed to be installed before the merger was approved by the European Commission and the United States Department of Justice, but the new logo could not be displayed publicly until all governmental approvals had been issued. Lauretano Sign Group produced over 200 signs and deployed them to all locations in advance of the Day One approval date. Lauretano Sign Group then coordinated the removal of all old signage, restoration of building walls, and installation of all the new signage. The new logo had to remain fully covered until the unveiling on Day One.
“The sign program for UTC Aerospace Systems is state-of-the-art and was an ideal project to showcase our capabilities on the world stage,” says Pat Byrne, president & C.E.O. of Lauretano Sign Group.
The complex production, shipping, and on site construction effort required a carefully planned timetable to ensure that signage would arrive at every site in each country leaving enough time to perform all necessary on site work. Lauretano Sign Group also coordinated all necessary landlord and municipal permit approvals required prior to installation for each domestic and international location.
