LIGHTFAIR® (LFI®) will produce the largest tradeshow in its history in Philadelphia April 21-25, 2013, with additions to the show floor, conference program, and events schedule designed to deliver technologies and information that will define the future.
The LFI 2013 trade show will feature more than 500 exhibitors spanning more than 200,000 net square feet; 80+ first-time exhibitors; the addition of two new product categories—solar power and software; the debut of the new Exterior & Roadway Lighting Pavilion; and the expansion into Hall F of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
Hall F illuminates the future of new lighting technologies with a spotlight on a diverse and well-known lineup of exhibitors. Hall F will also be the gathering place for attendees with a robust networking schedule in the Spotlight Lounge including a variety of new events. It will also be the new location for LFI News and the Media Marketplace.
The LFI 2013 conference program will present 66 course offerings—totaling more than 200 hours with AIA, ASLA, BOMI, IDCEC, IES and NCQLP accreditation—offered in the Pre-Conference LIGHTFAIR Institute® and the 3-day Conference. This year, LFI introduces conference workshops during trade show days, adds new course tracks and a new Lunch & Learn session and offers courses on many new topics.
LightFEST is the signature evening event of LFI 2013. On Tuesday, April 23 from 6:15-8 p.m., attendees and exhibitors will gather for a night of Light, Networking & Celebration to celebrate opening day of the trade show by enjoying the festivities and networking with others in the industry. Special performances by iLuminate will captivate the crowds as they incorporate light, music and dance into a spectacular show. LightFEST will take place in the Ballroom at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
The LFI mobile app will not only keep everyone connected to show news, an interactive floor plan, conference details, event information, a personalized schedule and more, it will be one of the ways that attendees can enter the drawing for the new Exterior & Roadway Lighting Pavilion Grand Prize Giveaway. Attendees can visit HUBBELL LIGHTING, INC. (Booth 1745) and LIGMAN LIGHTING, LLC. (Booth 2055) in this new pavilion to scan their QR codes and enter. For the New Exhibitor Pavilion Passport Giveaway, attendees can visit participating first-time LFI exhibitors in the pavilion to complete their passport to enter. Drawings will be held in the Spotlight Lounge in Hall F at 5:30 p.m. on April 23 & 24 for the New Exhibitor Pavilion Passport Giveaway and at 1:30 p.m. on April 25 for the Exterior & Roadway Lighting Pavilion Grand Prize Giveaway.
