MaxLite® has added 12- and 20-watt models to its LED Post Top Retrofit Lamp product line, an energy-efficient choice for replacing traditional high pressure sodium and metal halide sources in post top fixtures.
The LED Post Top Retrofit Lamps are designed with a smaller size and shape for easy installation in enclosed luminaires, such as acorn, globe and bollard fixtures, with universal burn positions. The product line is UL listed for dry and damp locations and is suitable for enclosed lighting fixtures in a wide variety of applications, including parks, streets, pedestrian walkways on corporate and college campuses, airports and retail centers.
“Our LED Post Top Retrofit Lamps are the perfect solution for replacing existing inefficient and lesser quality outdoor light sources,” said Alex Truong, MaxLite product marketing manager. “This LED lamp provides a broad range of opportunities in the exterior lighting market and will deliver substantial savings on energy and maintenance in public spaces for urban planners, DOTs and landscape architects.”
Available in 3000K and 5000K color temperatures, the LED lamps deliver a high lumen output with an omni-directional design that provides even light distribution in conditions with ambient temperatures ranging from -4 degrees to +140 degrees Fahrenheit. They are constructed with an extruded aluminum heat sink that transfers heat from the LEDs for extended life. The 12- and 20-watt LEDs replace 50- and 75-watt metal halide lamps, respectively. LED Post Top Retrofit Lamps save more than 73 percent in energy and operating costs over their less-efficient counterparts.
The lamps operate on universal 120 to 277-volt systems and feature an E26 Medium screw base.
