Mimaki USA, a leading manufacturer of wide format inkjet printers and cutters, celebrates the opening of its new Toronto Branch, the company’s first in Canada and seventh in North America. A grand opening event was held on October 11, 2016, featuring a traditional Kagami Biraki ceremony often performed at celebratory events in which the lid of the sake barrel is broken open by a wooden mallet and the sake is served to everyone present. The ceremony represents an opening to harmony and good fortune.
The facility is home to Mimaki trained sales, support and service staff designed to provide Mimaki dealers and end users with prompt, direct, local sales and technical support. This 11,000 square foot facility is the site of product demonstrations, Dealer Technician Certification courses, end user software and applications training, and open house events. It is conveniently located approximately twenty minutes from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport at 20 Barnes Court in Concord, Ontario, near the intersection of Jane Street and Highway 7.
Lead by Lucas Crossley, Canada Area Sales Manager, the Mimaki Sales & Support team along with Canadian dealers welcome all to the facility, which showcases the latest in digital printing technology in areas such as latex, dye sublimation, UV, and solvent printing. A gallery is also available for visitors to view samples of the many types of applications possible using Mimaki printers, cutters, and software.
