Mimaki USA, a leading manufacturer of wide format inkjet printers and cutters, announced the release of Mimaki Profile Master 3 (MPM3) software, a color profile creation and editing tool that gives users the ability to master their wide format digital color printing workflow.
On a daily basis, production departments in wide format digital print shops struggle with producing accurate color across different media or on multiple printer platforms. MPM3 software works with Mimaki RasterLink6 RIP software to deliver professional, consistent color reproduction without the need for special knowledge.
Key Features
MPM3 software builds on popular functions in version 2, with the following new key features included:
Powerful color management tools that are easy to use. MPM3 software’s user-friendly interface provides a step-by-step guide to profile creation. The workflow is always displayed for easy navigation and operation. Knowledgeable users can take advantage of advanced features such as GCR and Black generation.
Multiple controls for consistent workflows. In MPM3 software, there are three color replication methods available for different color workflows. Calibration achieves consistency on a single Mimaki printer, regardless of environmental or media variances. Equalization enables color consistency across multiple Mimaki devices in the same series. This feature ensures that large jobs can be load-balanced across multiple Mimaki printers with assured color fidelity. With emulation, various brands, models, ink sets, media, and resolutions can be simulated on a Mimaki printer. This capability reduces color differences that can occur within a mixed printer environment.
Simple, automated color management. MPM3 software can automatically calculate and adjust for color differences through simple color charts measurement without requiring a high level of color management knowledge. This ensures that operators are properly tasked for production, rather than color management functions.
Availability
MPM3 software is available for order now through authorized Mimaki representatives. It is available bundled with an X-Rite i1Pro2 spectrophotometer, or as stand-alone software (user supplies the spectrophotometer). For more information, visit www.mimakiusa.com.
