The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) has named Rita Ugianskis-Fishman the new vice president and general manager of The ASI Show. Ugianskis-Fishman will lead all key strategic initiatives at ASI Show and develop and deliver additional benefits for suppliers and distributors while exploring expansion opportunities. She previously worked at Penton Media, a B2B media company based in New York City, and Reed Exhibition Companies.
Bayer MaterialScience LLC appointed Anthony “AJ” Durso territory business manager for the Mid-central region. Durso will manage and execute the field sales activity for Makrolon® polycarbonate sheet products in this region, which encompasses Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, and portions of Illinois and Missouri. Durso is tasked with developing and implementing plans that build value within channels and achieving market share and growth goals. He previously worked for SABIC Polymershapes.

Manitex International Inc. has named Waldemar “Wally” Nowacki as vice president of Sales for Major Accounts. Nowacki brings 35 years of crane sale and sales management to his new role, and he has worked at a number of crane manufacturers.
MaxLite® appointed Alex Truong to product marketing manager. Truong will research, develop, and launch MaxLite’s latest LED and CFL lamps, and upgrade its current products, using state-of-the-art, energy-efficient technologies. In addition, he will work with Underwriters Laboratories, Intertek, ENERGY STAR®, and other organizations to achieve the highest industry certifications. He previously worked for Bulbrite Industries, Rochoet Inc., and Master Cutlery, Inc.
Orbus Exhibit & Display Group has added 65 new employees to its roster since January 2013. Orbus nearly doubled in size over the past few years and has plans to consolidate and grow current production facilities in Illinois into one space. Orbus ends 2013 with 325 employees across its three manufacturing and production facilities in the U.S. As Orbus prepares for a June 2014 move to a custom-built, 350,000-square-foot building, staff numbers will continue to grow.
