Arlon Graphics LLC announces the start of an eighteen-month project to expand and relocate its manufacturing to an upgraded facility in Placentia, California. The new facility increases capacity, improves material flow, and nearly doubles the size of its current location. Arlon is also investing in numerous operational upgrades at the new location including a $7 million state-of-the-art adhesive coating line, new ERP & CRM software, energy-efficient lighting, air, and water systems, and upgraded environmental controls for its mixing and coating operations.

Halco Lighting Technologies has hired Jay Weaver as chief financial officer. Weaver is responsible for leading the financial operations of the company including accounting and controls, financial planning and analysis, tax, and treasury. He brings over twenty-three years of experience in corporate finance and accounting in manufacturing and distribution businesses to his position. He previously worked at Onity, Kraft Foods, Inc., Diversity Food Processing, and Union Camp Corporation.

Heat Transfer Warehouse welcomes Brandi Eldridge to their sales team. She brings eight years of experience in the garment decorating and apparel industry to her new position.

MaxLite has expanded its engineering department by setting up a team in its West Caldwell, New Jersey location and appointing key engineering personnel. The New Jersey team will work with the existing engineering team in the Rancho Cucamonga, California location. James Steedly will oversee engineering operations at both locations. The New Jersey team includes three engineers. Robert Davis is product engineering team manager with over 22 years of lighting and engineering experience. He supervises engineering and product development. Estrella Kim will develop LED drivers and lamps and has seven years of experience in electrical engineering. Aymen Chami was promoted to design engineer in charge of modifying electrical prototypes and assemblies of new lighting fixtures.

Onyx Graphics, Inc. announces that Jeffrey L. Despain has been named director of Research & Development. Despain oversees the engineering teams dedicated to producing the company’s workflow software products. He previously worked for Digital Gateway, OutSoft Development, and HP.

Roland DGA Corp. announces a number of appointments and promotions. Roland has promoted Andrew Oransky to senior director of Marketing and Product Management. In addition to overseeing the Roland DGA marketing and product management teams, he will also help coordinate product planning and global marketing with parent company Roland DG. Oransky joined Roland DGA in 2008 as director of product management. Joe Dawson was promoted to senior director of Sales. He will continue to be responsible for key sales functions across all Roland inkjet devices, vinyl cutters, engravers and all related supplies and accessories for North and South America. He joined Roland in 2005. Grant Davis was promoted to national accounts manager. Davis will focus on the management, growth and support of Roland’s key accounts throughout the U.S. Steven Tu was promoted to product manager—UV Printers, and he will be responsible for the coordination of new product launches and furthering the success of Roland’s UV products in vertical markets. Daniel Valade is the new Product Manager for the VersaStudio® BN-20 desktop printer/cutter and GX series line of cutters. Valade joined Roland five years ago. Lori Babigian has been appointed marketing director, and she is responsible for the day-to-day management of all Roland DGA marketing activities. Most recently Babigian served as director, global marketing communications for Printronix.

Screen USA has added two new regional sales managers for digital print solutions. Dean Kenan has over thirty years of experience, and his sales territory at Screen consists of Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. He will also represent Screen technology in Canada, British Columbia, and Yukon. David Sinner will cover the north central region of the United States and Canada. He will also develop new markets and business in Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. He has spent seventeen years in sales.
