Appleton Coated announces its partnership with Elk Grove Village, Illinois-based ConVerd. ConVerd has chosen Appleton Coated as a supplier providing specially designed paper for its key product GreenLight® Plus! The partnership gives ConVerd the ability to deliver on the key product attributes of its GreenLight Plus backlit signage products. It also allows ConVerd’s product to be FSC® (FSC® C007796) certified, contain 10 percent post consumer recycled fiber, and be fully recyclable.
Bayer MaterialScience LLC has appointed Brian Heine as western regional manager for Makrolon® polycarbonate sheet products. Heine will support the sales and marketing team, with a focus on customer relations and business development. He began his career with Cadillac Plastics in 1996 as an inside sales representative and joined Bayer in 2003 as a central sales manager for Makrolon polycarbonate sheet products.
Dave Gunderson has been promoted to the role of account executive at Lawrence Sign & Nordquist Sign. He will work with customers to deliver their custom signage solution. He joined Lawrence Sign in 2010 as lead installer before being promoted to installation and service manager.
United Franchise Group (UFG) announces that Signarama master license holder Alex Wai-Choon Butt has signed on to become the company’s first-ever regional area developer. Butt will now represent all six of the United Franchise Group’s brands, Signarama, EmbroidMe, IZON Global Media & Billboard Connection, Plan Ahead Events, Transworld Business Advisors, and SuperGreen Solutions, for master licensing purposes in all of Southeast Asia.
