According to Sports Business Journal, the Houston Rockets and the Toyota Center agreed to upgrade their digital signage as a part of a two-year venue-wide plan powered by ANC and WJHW. The installation will include one of the largest and most technologically advanced centerhung scoreboards in the NBA, which will include 13,000 square feet of digital signage improvements.

The 6,200-square-foot centerhung LED installation features 84 percent more LED surface than the previous screens. The “underbelly” screens measure 1,500 square feet with 2.5mm pixel pitch for courtside fans. The curved design allows content to continuously wrap the scoreboard, enabling 360-degree visuals. There will also be new audio speakers involved, digital LED lighting elements, and “rocket boosters” that blast smoke plumes for a launching rocket effect, according to Sports Business Journal.
